It is pronounced like Popeye, but besides that, it has nothing to do with the cartoon. For new musical talent there’s no better place to ‘pop up’ than this free stage, which combines social involvement with all kinds of music. Rock, pop, it doesn’t matter, all you have to be is talented and you’ll be allowed on stage at Popei.

More than hundred musicians who are happy to make themselves heard, can be found here on a daily basis. Next to the music theater, you can also go to Popei for drinks and some food at the bar or on the terrace.
