When you visit Strijp R and bump into a man that looks a bit like he’s living in his own parallel universe and wouldn’t even mind living in a cardboard box, chances are you’ve met the man himself: Piet Hein Eek. The pride of Eindhoven and world-famous for his furniture that is mostly made out of old & used wood.

Piet’s working area is a unique part of Eindhoven, where you can walk around freely and see for yourself what’s going on in all the working spaces. There’s even a company restaurant that doesn’t serve things like steak or carpaccio, but very basic stuff with a unique twist. Just like the furniture!
